Da da

Nathan is a "da da" machine. It is his favorite sound to make and he will do it all day long. I love it and can't get enough.

Hotel Mother-in-Law

On Monday night someone drove their car into our gas line and busted it up good. Lucky for us and the neighborhood we had guests over and they heard (it was loud)and smelled the gas leak as they were leaving. Brad's uncle called him outside and the next I knew he was running in yelling, "dial 911!!!" Brad ran back to the alley and found someone had come back to the car and was trying to move it. Brad screamed at the fool that unless he wanted to die he needed to stop trying to start the car and run (ok, I am not sure exactly what he said but the point is that the guy was not too bright, but then again he did run into the gas line so enough said). Soon the neighborhood was full of lights, sirens, and New Mexico's finest. By this time Aunt Leslie had all of my kids in her extended cab keeping them warm and safe while I tried to evacuate my 93 year old neighbor who just kept repeating, "Do I know you?" The gas was shut off finally and then the search was on for the culprit. Brad and his uncle had seen the teenager that had come back for the car and gave a description. Soon enough the kid showed up and the Police found that his license had been suspended. His mother showed up and claimed that she had been driving the car even though she had to move the seat up to drive it away and there was rap music blaring when the car was turned on (her deceit will of course not help her son but will no doubt be good for us with the insurance). The police report was filed and the gas man told us that the repair was too deep to fix that night. Sooo we have been camped out at the hotel Mother in Law escaping the night temperatures here that are in the single digits. Meanwhile, as I type, a plumber is under the house drilling a drill so powerful that it feels like I am sitting on a vibrating cushion. We will soon be the owners of a brand new gas line to our house. Yes, it seems as if they have to run a whole new line. Lucky me! Now the lack of landscaping doesn't seem so bad. Hopefully these people have good insurance and they will shell out the big bucks. If not, I might have to sell one of the children! Or a kidney, or a retina or something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Diva and a Chandelier

This is the lucky chandelier that gets to adorn the dining room. Got a fab deal on it! Mom told Natalie she could pick something out at Wal-Mart and she chose the pink curlers.
