Happy Birthday Nathan!

Nathan turned 4 years old today! My little boy is growing up so fast!

They sang to him at Primary today and gave him a candy bar. He thought that was so cool. After church we had all kinds of family come over and we had a big dinner, cake and ice cream and presents. Nathan got legos, an Angry Bird game, cars, cap guns, money, a bowling set, a red wagon and a teeter totter. Brad set it up in the living room and he has been having a blast. Aunt Katie and I even took Nathan for a walk in his wagon around the block. My little boy had a big day!

Happy 11th Birthday Harker!

Harker turned 11 today! We had an early party with a few cousins, friends and Grandma and Grandpa Mangum at a fun place with blow up jumpies. The kids played, we had hamburgers, cupcakes and presents. Harker is a lucky boy as today, his birthday, is an 11 year old scout campout. How cool is that? Brad is going with the group so Harker is very excited! Happy Birthday!!!

Summer Reading Suggestions

Harker, Hyrum and I are reading this book together as part of our summer school reading group.  It is at a 5.9 reading level and it is a really fun book that has us laughing every day. We highly recommend it.

I read a book by Cathy Gohlke, Promise Me This, that I had found for free on my Kindle. I really enjoyed it so I did a search for other books she had written and I came across theses two. I love historical fiction, it is my genre of choice. PMT is about the Titanic and life in early America. The other two are about the Underground Railroad and the Civil War. Cathy Gohlke is a Christian writer so the books were very clean and written in a Christian perspective without being too preachy. They were very pleasant, enjoyable reads.
