Youth Ski Trip
I went on an overnight ski trip with the youth of our ward this last weekend. This picture is of myself and one of the young women I got to stand still long enough to pose with me. We spent the night at Kirkland Air Force Base (thanks to our Sponsor) and then traveled to Sandia Peak. The youth had a great time skiing and I stayed in the lodge handing out snacks and preserving my knee.

Passing Notes in Church
During Sacrament Meeting yesterday I intercepted a note being passed between Harker and Hyrum. I was not annoyed, just interested in what they had to say to each other. I was quite amused at the contents:
Harker, this is Hyrum. Please feel better and be happy. Please. Please. Please.
If you can get me out of singing time...sure.. and I'm starving.
Lip sink but when she comes close you have to.
I don't want to.
It's easy now do it!!
NO!!!!!!! I don't want to sing.
If you are so lazy that you can't even lip sink you're going to get killed in middle school!

Katie Graduated, now we have proof!
Poor Katie trusted us to take pictures for her while she was pinned at her UNM Nursing Graduation. I took great pictures but the camera (mom's) was lost and both Katie and mom were bummed. Mom thought that maybe she had left the camera at the college and all was lost. Brad recently moved the computer desk and the camera was found! We have proof!

22 Cu Ft!
Our new refrigerator was delivered this morning before 8am. It is bigger than our last and does not leak! Yeah! Brad put the old one in the garage on a pedestal for me. It will be nice to have the extra space especially for my coupon deals and to keep some stuff away from the short people in my house!

Expensive Valentine!
I am going to start Valentine's day off in an Oral Surgeon's chair under IV sedation. Yes, lucky me, a visit to the dentist last week for a simple cleaning ended next door in the Oral Surgeon's office for an Apicoetoctemy consult. I was really hoping that after all of the medial fun our family had last year that this year would offer a reprieve. Not so. Lucky for me, it seems Valentine's Day was open (go figure) and I would not have to wait long. Brad called his boss to inform him that he would need the day of love off. His boss conceded and joked that Brad was going to get off easy, that he would not have to take me out for dinner! I'm thinking dinner would be way easier and definitely a lot less expensive!
For those of you that are interested in what will happen, I will explain a little. The Oral Surgeon will cut and lift the gum away from the culprit tooth so that there will be access to the root. The infected tissue will be removed.
He will cleanse and close the end of the tooth’s canal then he will take an x-ray of the area before the tissues are stitched back into place. Hopefully there will not be too much damage because if there is, I might need an implant. Nasty, I know. Harker and Hyrum just walked by and stopped to look at this gross picture I felt the need to include. Hyrum asked what is was and I simply said, "That is what is going to happen to me tomorrow!" From the look on his face I can tell I am going to get an extra big Valentine from Hyrum. Harker on the other hand started to gag uncontrollably and had to leave the room. I hope my stitches look this cute. Do you think they could do them in pink and red?

The Mouths of Babes
The other day Nathan wanted something and I asked him what the magic word was. He told me, "Oh.. I know!...ABRACADABRA! "
Natalie was disturbed Sunday morning that I had sat down to read a book, "Mom, it is Fast Sunday and you are not moving fast enough!"
We had a refresher birds and bees talk with Harker and Hyrum recently. Since then, Hyrum has referred to intimacy twice now as "that special meeting." p.s.- He did NOT get that phrase from us!

My Guy and Me 2012
Natalie brought home a Girl Scout Flyer from school this week. A new troop was forming and she just had to be a Daisy Scout! She carried it around with her and imagined herself doing all the things depicted on the flyer (horseback riding, planting flowers, swimming etc.) all with girls! I called and we went to fill out the paperwork yesterday. Natalie was absolutely thrilled to find out that she wouldn't have to wait long to do something fun. The leader informed us that the My Guy and Me Dinner was the very next day and she could attend! The time finally came for her and I just had to get some pics before I sent her off with her guy!
