The house was usually quiet so I sent Harker to look for his sister. A few minutes later he came back laughing and said that she was asleep under a pile of pillows. I really wish I could have seen her situating the pillows!
Happy Birthday Brad! After a fun day of running around town, we went to Brad's parents' house where the whole family joined us for dinner and birthday cake. One year older and wiser too, Happy Birthday- to you! I made sure to have Nathan sit on his lap again (rootbeer soaked shirt and all!).
Brad has a new calling. He is now an early morning Seminary teacher! Today was his first day. Actually, I should not say new, but instead, another calling. Now he is a Seminary teacher, Sunday School teacher, and Cub Master. I am excited to learn a lot as he studies for his class.
All summer long I have been dropping the boys off at the aquatic center to swim. If you are under 7 you have to have an adult swim with you and an adult can only have one child under 7 with them. So, Natalie never got to go because I have two kids under seven. Aunt Katie came over to watch Nathan today so I could take Natalie. Well, wouldn't you know it but the pool was closed for cleaning. Natalie was suited up and ready to swim when I broke the bad news. Tears, tears, and more tears. We made an emergency trip to Walgreen's to scope out the summer clearance and we found this cute pool 75% off (our other summer pool had been ruined by monsoon season). So for $7.49 the day was saved. The boys were happy to join the party after school and after a water fight broke out (started by Katie) even Brad and I needed a change of clothes.
Today the whole family got up and dressed to take Harker and Hyrum back to school. They were both excited and ready to get back into school and see their friends again. Natalie was excited to go into the school but happy she didn't have to stay. Nathan would have moved in if allowed but he was content with getting to wear a backpack like the big boys. Harker is in the fourth grade and Hyrum is in the second. Can you tell by the picture who is more relaxed? Ha!

We found a pretty new area rug for Natalie's room and she loves it. She will even be found sitting on it talking to the butterflies and telling then how pretty they are!
There is always a project to be done at our house. Today it was yet another window.
Natalie wanted to go camping for her birthday so we did. We went to Bluewater Lake State Park for four days and three nights. We had a lot of fun, even when the big rainstorm hit. We had a lot of family come out for her party and some even camped out with us. I had posted a movie of the event, but replaced it with this post so it could be printed for my blog journal. Happy Birthday Natalie! We love you!

It's Harker. Today we went to the river and tried to catch a fish with our
bare hands but it didn't work. It was really fun and we had a great

Pigs In A Blanket

Today I taught Nathan the secret art of making pigs in a blanket. We had a
package of hot dogs and mom was gone. There was really nothing stopping us.
